This guide explains how to configure your iPhone or iPad to access your email account.

This tutorial was created for iOS 14. If you are using a newer or older version, these instructions may differ.

Add Mail Account

  1. On your Apple device, Open Settings
  2. Scroll down and tap Mail
  3. Tap Accounts
  4. Tap Add Account
  5. Tap Other
  6. Tap Add Mail Account

Entering Account Information

  1. Enter your first and last name as you would like them to appear when sending mail from your iOS device.
  2. Enter your branded email address
  3. Enter your password
  4. Enter a description of the mail account. (Ex. Work Email)
  5. Tap Next

Enter IMAP Details

Make sure you have selected the IMAP tab at the top and NOT POP.

Incoming Mail Server

  1. Enter the Host Name:  mail.b.hostedemail.com
  2. Enter the account User Name.  (This is your email address)
  3. Enter the account Password.

Outgoing Mail Server

  1. Enter the Host Name:  mail.b.hostedemail.com
  2. Enter the account User Name. (This is your email address)
  3. Enter the account Password.

Tap Next

After the iOS device has verified the account, press Save.

Troubleshooting

If your iOS device fails to verify the account, go through the steps again and ensure you have not made any typos.

The most common error is mistyping the host name: mail.b.hostedemail.com

Remember that you must enter the same host name in both the incoming and outgoing settings.
